What is the difference between a diesel generator set and a gasoline generator set?
1. The structures of the two are basically the same. From their names, we can find an obvious difference: the required fuel is different. Diesel has a higher calorific value, and gasoline burns more gently in comparison.
2. Different power. Just as a diesel car has more horsepower than a gasoline car, the minimum power of a diesel generator set is 8 kilowatts and the maximum can reach 2 million watts. The maximum power of the same volume of gasoline can only reach 10 kilowatts.
3. Ignition type. In the cylinder of a gasoline generator, the mixture of fuel and air is ignited by a spark plug. In a diesel engine, the mixture is ignited by the heat formed by compression.
4. Different volume, gasoline generator are small in size, easy to carry, and suitable for mobile power supply. Fuel and air mixing. In a gasoline engine, fuel and air are mixed in the carburetor and the intake pipe.
5. In a diesel engine, the mixing of fuel and air is carried out after the diesel is sucked into the cylinder. The main uses are different.
Diesel engines are mainly used for industrial power supply, while gasoline engines are generally chosen for home use.
